CRUMP CALLS FELLOW CONSERVATIVE OUR “BEST CHANCE TO REIN-IN SPENDING AND RESTORE FISCAL CONSERVATIVE LEADERSHIP” IN WASHINGTON
Phoenix, AZ – Congressional candidate Sam Crump announced today that he is formally endorsing J.D. Hayworth for U.S. Senate. Crump, who is running to replace retiring Congressman John Shadegg in Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District, said he believes Hayworth represents the conservative values that Arizonans want in their U.S. Senator.
“It is with great enthusiasm that I announce my support for J.D. Hayworth in his race for the U.S. Senate,” Crump stated. “J.D. is our best chance to rein-in federal spending and restore fiscal conservative leadership in Washington–our only shot at revitalizing our economy and creating new jobs. He’ll fight for faith, family and freedom and get the federal government off our backs.”
Sam Crump is the first candidate in the crowded CD3 race to endorse J.D. Hayworth in his Senate race against incumbent John McCain. Serving two terms as a Member in the Arizona House of Representatives, Crump is known a as a solid fiscal and social conservative. He chaired the Government Committee where he championed bills requiring government transparency and reform.
“I have tremendous respect for John McCain and his service to our country, both in the military and in the nation’s capitol,” said Crump, who is also a veteran. “But at this time in our nation’s history, the people are looking for bold, clear and unwavering leadership to fight against the Obama and Pelosi agenda, and I firmly believe J.D. Hayworth is the man for Arizona.”
Sam Crump is a U.S. Army veteran and a founding partner in the law firm of Boates & Crump. He was the charter President of the Rotary Club of Anthem and founded an orphanage in Uganda. He is also a member of the American Legion.
Sam and his wife Colleen, a registered nurse at John C. Lincoln hospital in Deer Valley, have four children, three of whom attend Arizona colleges. The Crumps are members of St. Rose Catholic Church in Anthem. Sam earned his undergraduate degree in government and his masters in public administration from the University of San Francisco. He received his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law.
